I'd choose supernatural

I'm surprised at how many people picked dead, when I questioned whether or not they'd pick to be supernatural, or dead. Of course the rules did kind of suck. The one I added at the last minute was the lack of free will. I think some supernatural creatures would have free will, or thwart those that try to control them, or are the ones that are controlling others. It's just probably more common that they don't. Most people have to answer to someone, right?

I think I'd still pick supernatural. Of course that might be a huge mistake, but at least I'd get to try it and see. Who knows, maybe my rules are totally bogus and it's a complete free-for-all. Besides, I could always go find a vampire/zombie/ghost hunter to help end my misery if it was really horrible. Did I forget to mention the hunters? Probably makes you happier you said dead.

I guess I'd just be willing to take the leap and see what happened, instead of going to a certain death. Like I said, that could be a HUGE mistake, or not.

I'm still working on my (Sheila the zombie cheerleader) story for the contest and crossing my fingers that it will be done in time to post it.

Happy Halloween everyone! I hope you all get your favorite treats today. :)

  1. Yep, I too would pick plain dead because of the lack of free will. However, with free will, I would be very pleased to be a chaos fairy. I don't know what that is, but it seems to suit me.

  2. I'd like to say that I'd pick dead because of the lack of free will, but I'd probably pick supernatural, under the theory that I might always be able to tame myself and defeat the evil overlord. If I'm dead, well, I'm just dead.

    Undead, however, is another story.

  3. I guess I looked at it more in a religious way and being since life after death isn't a bad thing with what I believe in.

Have a Happy & Safe Halloween!

  4. I think I need more coffee. I edited my sentence and forgot to take a few words out and now it doesn't make sense. Who needs to be supernatural when you're a zombie like me?

  5. Carrie, you can be a chaos fairy. I like chaos fairies, they make life more interesting. Plus, if you're a chaos fairy, lack of free will won't be a problem. You just have to create enough chaos to be given your freedom, and since kings and overlords don't like chaos, you should be free in no time. ;)

Jacqui, You totally got what my original idea was. I'm so used to stories where people don't have free will and fight to get it, that I didn't think people would think that was absolute. I'll fight with you to defeat the evil overlord :)

Rena, your comment made perfect sense to me, and it was something I hadn't thought about as an option, I was just thinking alive or dead. (Yes, I know I added the thing about the afterlife, but I wasn't thinking about what that meant - maybe I need some coffee!) Thanks for commenting. You've given me more to ponder on this question.
